“Some people are born to be extraordinary”

Extraordinary means “Unusually great” which is exactly what drag artist are. It is through being unusually great that they offer something different to the sea of the same. Drag artist around the worl use what little or vast resources they have to put together something truly unique and different. They express themselves through comedy, dance, song, dress the list goes on. All this adds to LGBT life and culture in a way that we may take for granted.

So make sure this year you are unusually great in you own unique way and if you’re not dressing up, visit a show and just stop and think about how much time and effort that performer has taken to stand up in front of you all to offer you something different to the status quo.

As Lady GaGa said don’t be a drag just be a queen (or king) and shine.
